I don't think Whitfield beat George out, he was rotating with Peterson last year while George didn't see much action. George's improvements will get him on the field along with Peterson sitting out. But it won't get him ahead of Whitfield unless he has some regression in his play.

Flowers played STAR most of last season, similar role to a slot cornerback and safety.

I didn’t realize that. Thanks for pointing that out.

Reminds me that not having Peterson is a blow. In essence it would be Peterson / Whitfield on the 2 deep.

That corner 2 deep is not pretty at all
Dubose RS last year because he had knee surgery his senior year. He saw his first action this spring. They signed two JCs after Amos transferred out so they wouldn't have to push him to hard. I suspect you will see him on the field sometime this season.

Looks to me like Harvey Broussard and Cooper Fordham are going to be playing as Freshmen and not redshirting, being #2's.

Glenn Brown is a little bit of a disappointment, I thought he would come in and compete for a starting DB spot. Not on the 2-Deep.

Don't know why, but I plan to ask someone about him tomorrow. Not going to speculate at this point.

According to Des in his press conference it seems like he may have been injured at some point because he said he should be back next week.

Accord to Coach Des he dislocated his shoulder earlier in fall practice and has been practicing in drills, without contact. He will not play this week and they will see if he is ready for contact next week.
