Only in La. Across the country for the most part football is a Saturday afternoon game. But that would not be good in September in La. Once October rolls around 4 is a great start time.

If the game stayed at 630, the temperature would have been about 91 which is a temperature I haven't seem here in Alexandria for over a month. So it will almost feel like a fall day

I don’t disagree especially here in Louisiana. Outside of the very Deep South college football is a Saturday afternoon event unless TV moves the game to night time.

Moving to 7:30 gives a little more time for the aluminum seats and concrete stadium to radiate some heat generated by the daytime sun. It won't be much but it will help.
