Thread: Martin Hall at it again.

It’s important for the university, including the athletics, to encourage freshman student tailgating. This will create a first impression and get them to return to games.

Do they have an alternative plan for freshman? You could have a separate tent for the freshman without alcohol or a pre party in the convention center. What does the Director of Fan Engagement think about this? Can they work together for a solution?

My take from this is if BP’s son is correct are close to correct on the percentages where are the non Greeks do they hate parties, football and fun? How do you get more general students out. Greek organizations are a very small part of the entire student population. Looks like you lose them you are screwed.
Thanks for the clarification. How are they going to know if someone is a freshman or not. Is there a UP person at the entrance of the tailgate area checking school IDs?

That just sounds like complicating things more than they need to, rather than just letting all the students tailgate together.

They will either not have enough water or the credit card machine will not work fast enough or lack of staff.

I agree it’s more complicated and exclusive than it needs to be.

likely would have affected him more than once, as i doubt he earned the proper amount of credits each year to class up on track

speaking of complicated and exclusive…maybe they can skip tailgate, skip games, skip school and be promoted straight to RP posters

Nothing like having to sneak into your first college experience… don’t mention app state students again if you don’t get how ridiculous it is for a university to forbid freshman from going to a university sponsored event at their FIRST COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAME

Drinking age is 21, what does being a freshman have to do with anything?

. . . legal drinking age is 21 . . . this is Cajun Country, drinking age is much less than that . . .

And that is the issue. I suspect the University does not want to be involved with an "under aged drinking situation". Because you know if something happens it's going to hit the fan.
