Y’all do realize millions and millions of people work in this heat right? You can last at a tailgate? Haha geez

Cajun Field, I’d venture at least a dozen seek medical attention.

The Boise game years ago I was smart enough to stay home. The final Arizona baseball game in 2016 I got carried out the stadium. Not knowingly going down that rabbit hole again.

Love my Cajuns, but nope. My skinny butt staying home.
Man, that Boise game was BRU-TAL. That entire day was ruined for TV.

It kind of actually resembled a real college student atmosphere at a school who’s off campus stadium struggles to do that.
That decision to move the Greeks out there houses was brutal. It was well known that you as a Greek would still go tailgate next to the stadium even if you could tailgate at the house as well. You just used the house to go to the bathroom or get some AC real quick then head back out.

When they made the decision to ban gatherings at the Greek houses during tailgating the university like you said "started breathing down their necks".

Most people would just go to the house at 8, 9, 10, and 11 AM just to meet and get the drinks going/vibes up for a great day of tailgating. It was really more of just a meeting spot for everyone. Once tailgating started everyone went out there because your tent, couches, ice chests and so forth were under the tailgate tent.

It makes me wonder if some of these administrators know what a SWOT Analysis is.
It is not about age necessarily because in a week after bid day they will be able to go. There are probably not many who use this same protocol. The dean in question here got bought out of her contract at Ms. State by a bunch of Greek alumni and let go because she was destroying the Greek system and running them off. So Martin Hall saw her as the perfect fit and hired her. See the motive here? It is not a secret what is going on here.

In my days 88 to 91 no fraternities set up tents. When I lived in the house many times there was a keg left over from the night before. Like Kenny chesney said there was a keg in the closet. That was my breakfast often on game day. Others would start rolling in early afternoon. We would pregame at the house some would leave about 45 minutes early to save seats. The rest would walk over just before kick off. Not sure your years.

The same dean that at an all Greek and student leader meeting in 2017 told everyone that she was proud that she turned her sorority sisters to the university not once, but twice.

Then proceeded to bash all Fraternities in the same meeting. It's clear this Dean in question has a dislike for Fraternities and what they represent in today's day and age. Been preaching it for years. Finally glad people are starting to notice.

In essence, they're killing student participation and school spirit if that was the motive. The long term effect on this will be brutal if we don't fix it.

Let me preface this by saying, you all may remember a thread at the beginning of the summer, where Dr Maggard and Sam DeMuzio called in representatives from several different Greek and student organizations to discuss student involvement at football and what they need to do better. I do believe the Dean in charge of the Greek system Heidie Lindsey sat in on the meeting.

According to T-Poppa the student tailgate area at Cajun Field it is probably around 90% Greek. The vast majority of the tents set up are obviously Greek also. Well today Ms Lindsey and the Dean of students Margarita Perez announced that no freshman can go near any Greek organizations for next Saturdays game, because rush is the next week and there will be alcohol. That makes the student tailgate area off limits to freshmen. Genius I tell you.

Can you imagine being a freshman, making your first game, of your college career and you’re told you can’t go to the party? The tailgate being 90% greek will obviously be off limits. The first taste in that students mouth, that they are trying to capture into a fan, is a bad one. This is unbelievable.

It looks like the Athletics dept was trying to make forward steps all summer long and Martin hall just drug them back a few steps in one day.

These people have perfected the act of self destruction.

how much extra have those that refuse to call us by our correct name caused us to spend on branding. above and beyond what would have been needed to spent anyway…then they give away free branding to many of the big boys inessence tripling our cost
