Maybe not for you or me but possible fan/family’s looking to attend the second game of the year would like to know ahead of it’s possible. Games less than a month away. If they(espn) already knows the south and Troy start times why can’t they already know the Buffalo game(way less likely to be on tv) in 5 weeks.

The week we play in Troy, ESPN has a ton of great match up to chose from; Georgia/Tennessee, UNC/Clemson, Oregon St/Washington. The week we play in S. AL is the same but our Conference mate also has App/Southern Miss and Marshall/Coastal. Our Game is not getting picked up.

Now the Buffalo game probably won't get picked up either but ESPN is most likely holding on to that until they see how the teams doing. Buffalo could be a pretty good team. Don't let the name fool you either. They are the State University of New York and have a pretty good following. ESPN does what it does for ratings.

You and I know that the Troy game is gonna be better than the Texas St game but Troy has no market despite the 100k alumni they claim. ESPN can sell its advertisers the Austin/San Antonio and our market during a slow week. I know it sucks at time but we do deliver a good audience. Our ratings is one of the best in the Conference. Second Highest in media payout behind only App by a little in the last report.

Do you know how the payout are determined.

Not exactly but I assume it has to do with # of times we appear. App and us are picked up the most cause or ratings were the best but even the new members got a little cut. Here is the payout from 21 season I got from the belt board

Idk the terms of the new contract but it should be better. Now think if we were in Coosa we would've given up our Grant of rights for only 500k a year. Oof
