Coach Des is going to be on The Patrick Netherton Show out of Shreveport tomorrow afternoon. I think it will be on the show's YouTube channel. It starts around 3 PM. Netherton and Tim Fletcher are what we have in Shreveport for local sports talk radio. I regularly argue with them about calling us UL, as they are Tech/ULM proponents. Netherton always invites all FBS/FCS football coaches in the state on his show for a preseason interview. Until last year, our coach was the only one in the state that wouldn't come on. Glad to see that changing. Should be a good interview. Netherton is usually very thorough. Thought this would be good to pass along.

Watching coach Des on Netherton now. Notice he had the ULM, coach the Mcnesse coach and the Ragin Cajuns coach. Love his consistency. Shouldn’t it be Warhawks and Cowboys if Ragin Cajuns.

That's the drawback of marketing Ragin' Cajuns first.

It's like an untethered kite. No direction, leaving others to attach Ragin' Cajuns to any school in the State.

I don’t agree that is common. Regardless I like the totally legal Louisiana Ragin’Cajun.

Unfortunately this morning Kevin Belton Cooking Louisiana referred to the university as Lafayette only. He also pushed the city of Lafayette food and especially plate lunches. I’m convinced he had zero malicious intent by calling us Lafayette, just shortend the name.
