Thread: Cajun Field, the playing surface

  1. Default Re: Cajun Field, the playing surface

I just learned this about the color vermilion.

“This particular color has been around for many years and originates from the powdered mineral known as cinnabar, which is toxic as it contains mercury sulfide. The color is often referred to as a vermilion red color, as it is a bright red-orange that is saturated and warm.”

The original was from a barely used Saints Turf.

That was the turf in the ipf.

The original turf at Cajun field was Pro Grass if I remember correctly.

The Teurlings and Clark field turf is Geosurfaces turf. Teurlings has a turf track too. (I designed both Teurlings and Clark Field)

I thought that went into the indoor practice facility, but I could be wrong.

You are correct. The first IPF turf was the Superdome Katrina turf. The current IPF turf is the original Cajun Field turf.
