By the time Marlin is gone, i’ll have me a few more years experience. Then it will be all good. The only thing that I hear is get some D1 experience. So that must be the answer. Last question, ZOOM, How old are you?

Old enough be be your father…was at USL during NO basketball. Probably why my perspective of “it’s not coming back like it was” is based on Blackham. It can’t, UL isn’t or ever will be in a power conference, independents can’t hang. The Mothership sets the agendas; any doubt, look at college football. We “get” to play crossover MBB games with the MAC. Know our place games if you will. The DOME and its cost of attendance has chipped MBB down from the start. And there’s nothing short of a new university owned building that can fix that problem. And the fix would be short term, greed would return.

Yeah, saw you play at the dome to answer JMV’s question.

D1 experience is the path, no guarantee. I’m far from the only one to tell you that. But obviously Biddy and h/s is a non starter, otherwise someone would have came calling with a can’t refuse offer. If anything, if you aspire for the next level, disappear from message boards. Mean that with all sincerity in a positive manner. I don’t know if Turbine would let you, delete all u have out there. There’s things I’ve put out there I’m not particularly proud of in retrospect, but I’ve retired…twice. Probably get dinged with a negative DEI point or two on my credit score if I’m alive when that becomes a regular thing. The cost of going to church in the future.

It’s a job just like politics. Have friends running this fall. Internet postings, even with the best of intentions, done years ago, are fodder used against others.

I can’t apologize for statically pointing out the repeated falsehoods many have made regarding attendance at the dome. The competition may have changed, but dropping a Franklin plus for a family is an issue for most. That’s a hurdle that falls on LCG/UL. Been a progressive problem, kicked to the curb.

Again be better, do better. You’re a teacher, a role model.

    God bless and good luck.

Once again thanks for the advice. Old people always know what’s best and i gotta respect that. I have also coached pros in the TBT, and an also coached ABA teams with pros and former pros. I have gained a good bit of experience over my years. D1 more to come. #D1ExperienceUpNext

What made you decide to pursue coaching. And what do you think puts you ahead of some of your teammates in aptitude for coaching? What percentage of players would like to coach? And what pct have the ability to coach?

    I’m cryin’.

BB meant zero disrespect, nor was any felt. Old is relevant to your surroundings.

We have a very large Bible study men’s group. There are 5 guys in there I refer to as “the elders”…all over 80. They speak, the others listen intently. Their wisdom and encouragement are deserving of such respect. Best part, they’re flawed just like us all.

Pretty much the older we get, the wiser our fathers and teachers seem to get.

Zoom is right. Age is relevant to your surroundings.

70 is the new 40. I haven't reached one and I don't remember the other one.
