Great point. And there is a greater than 25% chance any that do arrive there will be vacated

The same theory should apply to other sports? Bill belachick went to a D3 college and in baseball Connie Mack quit school at the age of 14 to work full time

Legitimate concern. Other players will have to pick up some of those contributions. One guy won't replace those nos. alone. It will have to be a few guys which share the load. On a more optimistic note, I think Themus Fulks is one of the best point guards in the league. He has a very competitive streak and is a guy who detests losing. Good to have the ball in his hand often.

Perhaps we can do better. When I retired, I hoped that the guys who took my position could do a better job than I did. Coach Marlin probably feels the same way. That is not the pertinent question at this time. As CajunT alluded, we had little practical choice in this situation.

From a betting stand points I'm curious what Vegas will have our win number at for basketball. I may be putting some change on it.

2 wins to 6 wins is 300% better.

He just couldn't sustain it after he fired both of his coordinators after a 6 win season.

nonsense. at maximum you give him 2 more years. and you defintely dont make the buyout 600000. that one part right there tells fans he aint leaving anytime soon even if he loses

We left the Southland Conference in basketball due to football going independent in order to remain Division 1. We eventually became a part of the American South Conference which formed in the late 80's. I think 91-92 is the year we became part of the SBC. Either way, you are correct in that Bobby did not support that move and was one reason he went to South Florida. He also received a substantial pay raise which probably had more impact on the decision than anything else.

People will find every meaningless excuse for this decision. That buyout amount speaks volumes. He'll be the coach until he retires or dies. This university LOVES status quo. No work required.
