California is about to get smashed. Predicting 2-3 years worth of rain.
Cape Verde season is upon us. Caribbean trade winds die down, horizon becomes clear.
Can see Epstine’s Island from STT.
I have a feeling with this heat we might be watching hurricanes this year on thanksgivings day.
Don’t need any here. Inflation is already out of control. We might not have an insurance market anymore if we get a major one. It’s bad!
It’s all cyclical, the 1961 hurricane season was similar to the paths (and high pressure locations).
We will be fine. Don’t let the fear salesmen get you. We’re in a drought. Mother Earth was designed by the creator to heal itself. Rain will come, when and how much, we’ll see. Remember the drought last year out west? Winter snow/rain took care of that.
While it's been hot here I wonder what the water temps in the gulf are. I would like to compare this years temps to last years temps at the same time.
besides tropical tidbits I like to follow this site. It has lots of information.

I dunno about the gulf, but I could probably cook some ramen in my pool.
Average Sea Surface Temps in GOM recently hit 88F which is a record high. That is 2.6F degrees higher than the average over the past three decades. Huge amount of energy and as someone else noted I wouldn't be surprised to see more strong storms on the back end of the season than what we normally see.
