Same traditional opinion. It’s LSU as to why we don’t draw well. LSU has zero to do with putting 30k people in Cajun Field. That’s a false narrative for the failure of this university to establish a fanbase.

The biggest portion of our die hard base was cultivated in the 70’s and 80’s.

Two and a half decades of fan neglect is what you’re seeing now. The excuse has always been LSU. But the truth is the university has failed to cultivate an organic fan base. Honestly they don’t even know how to do it.

    This seems to be true.

That's problem 1B...problem 1A is scheduling some P5 teams in 2 or 3 to one deals like the rest of the teams in the SBC...

. . . so why did they come and leave again, especially with the success in football . . . there must have been recent intervening causes . . . maybe the FDT video and March to the police station . . . if not that, what . . .

All about the opponents. Buffalo and USM should draw some fan interest I think.

Maggard doesn't do those types of deals. Crazy huh.

It really isn’t beneficial. Sure it looks good, but we make roughly the same playing a g5 at home than we do a P5. So in the long run W’s mean more than having a P5 at home.

We're way past the point of looking at whether 2 for 1 schedule deals are beneficial or not...lots of peer G5 schools do this and have grown from it...or UL can continue to circle the drain of horrible schedules and fan apathy

Fan apathy is a completely separate issue. There has been near zero effort in fan cultivation at the student level for 30 years. That’s why we don’t have a fan base.

Our core base was built in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. That is why we have a dwindling fan base. We had goals and were driven to achieve them back then. We dared to be brash and announced our intentions.

Now we act like Punxsutawney Phil, scared of our own shadow.
