What would I be wrong about? Many people on here have a heightened sense of self worth because they think they are in the know or the only people who have sources. 2 of the people closest to the baseball program on this board have each said there are no plans to reseat at the tigue. But it’s the RP way to just take something that isn’t true and come out guns a blazing. All I’m saying is that two people are saying one thing cause of their sources and the other two who are actually a part of the baseball program are saying they’re wrong. So who is really wrong here? Come on now doo doo…

If the sellouts continue, yes. But never increase until there is a demand that will cover it.

Or else, the demand may drop so much that the increased revenue turns out to be lower than prior to the increase.

Let's create the demand first, please!

Dude, when THE man who is responsible for seating and pricing makes the statement. Which I feel is extremely detrimental to to health of the program. You better believe I will put a spotlight on it.

You can assume that I’m full of crap all day long. I was present when the man said it. It is in the plans. I brought it to light in hopes that fan reaction would prevent it.

We have 3 programs here that do it right. And guess what, everything about them has been organically created. Fan driven, results on the field and in the stands.

So when something that will be rolled out in 2-3 years, that will absolutely destroy what’s there you bet your ass I’m going to call them out.

Plus I’m specifically talking about Russo Park and reseating there. We already know what will happen at Cajun Field.
Really, in which business model does someone decrease the actual cost of their product long term outside of the occasional promotional deal and see an increase in revenue to their bottom line?

Where are you paying for cheaper fuel, utilities, food and services today than you were in January?

Russo Park will eventually see seat prices increase for the same reasons, and including the new locker rooms/ indoor batting cages. Outside of seed money, how do you pay down the bonds without fees and other revenue?

As for Baseball and Softball reseating goes, that is not a done deal. In fact, I was told they would only eventually increase ticket prices but there was no timeline attached. There was no discussion of reseating either stadium.

Outside of the Alabama and Texas A&M games, when has Cajun Field ever sold out during cheaper seating prices and smaller the stadium capacity? I will answer that question for you, never. Even when parking and general admission tickets were the same price as STM, did Cajun Field sell out.

The football stadium will see an increase in ticket prices and there will be reseating because there will be no upper deck. This was discussed when the first renderings were released.

Again, I'm in it until I'm out. But, with rising inflation and lost revenue UL needs to return to cheaper seating?

Going up on SB tickets when they are already the highest in the country will not go over well with the older crowd.

Ask your coach if he can continue to compete against programs with $2.5M softball budgets if his seating cost remain the same.

It doesn't seem to be going over well with the younger crowd either.

You tell me BJ. 6000 season tickets sold for football. Yeah let’s keep jacking the prices up.

It’s working out so well. First time in what a decade we didn’t sell out season tickets for baseball? That worked out well.

When there is zero fan base left we can charge $1M a ticket to fund the program.

Inflation is up nearly 30%. You think people have the funds to keep pouring it into Cajun athletics?

We are down to Baldwin levels of support here for football. We will likely win 9 games this season as well.

Baseball regionals, won’t sell out our season ticket allotment. Keep raising prices.

Softball will sell out, but the older crowd will die off. And we’ve done a ____ poor job of developing a younger fan base.

Sure let’s raise prices more to compete. As if we are playing on a level playing field already. Those days are gone man. Another decade and we won’t even be in the same classification.
