There are plans to reseat the Tigue. And then Lamson. The person in charge of doing the reseating told me specifically, to my face, a few months ago, over beers, exactly what, how and why it would be happening…

Lamson already has the highest softball season ticket priced in the country. It would be a great idea to go up on the prices. Who in the hell decides on this stuff?

I don't think there is an argument about whether or not it will be done, it is what is the time frame. JW and MelRock are saying nothing is imminent and C4L and MAT are saying in the very near future (which could be from 1 year to 3).

I think both could be right, it might happen, but might happen in 3 years.

So it will be VISITED in the future with means C4L and MAT are correct.

I don’t see how they can justify softball. It was mentioned, but there’s no way they can justify that without a WS appearance or Natty in hand.

If I had to bet money on it, I’d bet year 3. But it shouldn’t be done at all.

Some of those people do not understand what makes baseball and softball great. They will never get it, because all they see is $$$.

The more fans they run off the more money they will have to squeeze out of the remaining fans. Then we will end up with an atmosphere like basketball or football. Passive participation from the people watching the game.

Most of softball fans are old, gray and bald. It doesn't make sense to raise prices and run them away.

I'm not questioning that eventually the football stadium premium seating will go up in cost once the stadium is renovated. I have heard the same thing. It's not shocking to me that eventually all premium seating will increase, especially since Covid there has been a freeze on seat prices and fees, in spite of revenue losses of over $6M plus.

Eventually this will have to happen if the athletic program wants to continue to compete in Division I Sports. The cost of ticket prices is not inconsequential, but necessary. UL is not going to make up lost revenues by discounting everything and running $2 draft beer at every athletic event.

People will have to make their own financial decisions, that includes myself as well. But sitting back and demanding improvements, and not expecting price increases is ridiculously naive or tone death. The price of doing business in college athletics will continue to increase yearly. I'm in it, until I'm not.

When they go up on pricing will they also replace the seats so that they aren't fading anymore?

If the plan is to kick every one out of their seat go up on the price then put seats back up for sale that’s just dumb. Just raise the price to where you want the price to be an let them decide if they want to remain.

Dave did you go to the McKinley st Pub back in our day? If you recall Miller Genuine Draft was pretty much always a dollar for long neck bottles at its highest price. One of the better buys on the strip. Which is what most people drank there and what drew his crowd. Imagine if the owner made an announcement OK, every one out, we are closing for 30 minutes and when we reopen Miller Genuine Draft will now be 3 bucks. How many people would come back and buy MGD? It really is that simple.
