I don’t know if that is a permanent move. I know Sam called a few of kids in recently that run some social media accounts and head on campus organizations to get their opinions on where students should be during the displacement year of construction. He didn’t say to them it would be permanent.

But I agree, move them from behind the visitors bench they are gone.

Agree what would be the point of a huge push this year to increase season tickets to have to displace all of them next year during construction. Next year will probably one of the most miserable game days ever. If they don’t have a huge push in 2025 to market the new and improved cajuns field then I will really start to wonder what the F_____ they doing.

Like I mentioned earlier, I’ll give more perspective with stories we’ve accumulated over the last few years dealing with this admin on the show.

Gerry and Nick will do a great job carrying on RR. At this point in my life, I’d just rather spend my time with my family and investing in things that actually give me a return.
MAT if you think its bad today you should have been around in the late 90s when we had Dr A and he hired fellow CHS Alumn Andrew Dumond for a marketing position. Andrew had come from minor league sports and had some great ideas. It was the first time we had a marketing person for athletics to my knowledge. The fossil shot down every thing he wanted to do to generate money. It was like he hired a guy and wouldn't let him do his job.

I remember Drew. I was 14-15ish when he was hired. He would come by the baseball camps and talk to everyone.

I knew that was the answer. There’s nothing to “control” regarding student interaction.

    Signed,

A former student thrown out of a game with buddies, for which the reason caused Coach Bustle to ask the administration “Why?”

Coach Robe is a hell of a man for not bolting at that time. Authement had the Spring sports on the verge of having to close up shop.

If we are not going to put forth the effort to be big time then why should we put in the effort at all…. I am embarrassed to be an Alumni of a university that seems to not care….I am also sad that the Acadiana area could not come and support the Cajuns full force when they were 11-1 and hosting the sunbelt championship game. 31,000 for a championship game is embarrassing. If we did that during the hud years you would have had at least 40k in the stands. The fan base has gone dormant and our admin just don’t give a ____. Very disheartening.

And then they tried to tell the man to stop doing speaking engagements on his own time.. Good god, we’ve been so dysfunctional for so long…

Geez. What’s this group like when we’re losing instead of enjoying a pretty long and steady streak of success across multiple sports?

Not discounting the questions or forgiving some of the obvious inaction of the administration. Especially when it comes to football off the field. But, man you guys can be grim.

Maybe I’ll join you later. Trying to hold on to some optimism now, though.

Totally understand you shutting it down some. Your kids are only young once. Whatever they pursue extracurricular will involve weekends. You’ll come back in 10-15 years full bore and will discover exactly what we did. Sadly, odds are nothing will be different.

I’ll NEVER become a tigger fan, but been back over a decade and slowly sliding into casual fan mode. Don’t need the stress.
