Absolutely not. They do what every other student section does at games.

This administration does everything possible to discourage student engagement at sporting events. From making a greek organization take down their tailgate to throwing out students for being engaged and passionate about their school and team to forcing them into one small section is truly head scratching.

If they move the students from behind the opponent’s bench you may see 100 students MAX at the games.

I wouldn’t mind having an athletic director or at least one of the minions being a diehard Cajun fan growing up. Not just someone collecting a check. Is anyone in that office a Cajun fan, from the area. Bunch of Yankees running the ship.

They will try to make up the revenue through price increases instead of attracting more fans.

Both would seem appropriate. Increased prices and increased attendance.

The guy is an entrepreneur and has other intrest outside of doing a podcast. Intrest as in making money to support his family. A member of Ragin Review told me he was doing this and asked that it be released by Josh. A true friend of mine who he knew he could tell me and I wouldn't go anywhere with it. Just because Josh is leaving the RR pod doesn't mean he quit being a fan of UL sports.

I’m talking about baseball and softball. CF wise, I know they’re trying to turn the current student section into premium seating, which is incredibly dumb, especially considering we’ve already attempted that and it failed miserably.

Nick and Gerry will do a great job with the Podcast. I would like to see them invite these guys on the pod from time to time during the season.

Softball already has the highest season ticket prices in the country.

We’re operating at a $6mm annual deficit right now. Meaning, the day the athletic calendar starts, we’re $6mm in the hole based on where we were 3 years ago. We no longer pay the full cost of attendance stipend. We can’t crack 2k RCAF donors. They’re trying to finish private funding of the stadium and the $6mm dollar clubhouse for baseball. We’ve now learned that Lamson is looking at a ~$3.5mm upgrade to the batting cages and bullpen. And that’s on top of several small but important repairs across the complex.

Now someone tell me just how we plan to pay for any of this? What’s the damn plan? What are we doing differently to make up for the loss of revenue from not playing Pay Day games, not getting fans in the gates for sports and continued lack of RCAF outreach? And we have to pay for all these promotions that were just announced (something last year’s budget doesn’t reflect).

Do y’all think acadiana will really pay to buy players? Fund the COA stipend? Higher prices for tickets and tailgating? More recruiting budget, when our players are being poached by P5 miscreants?
