Ive never seen that photo before, it is a great one.

I can't wait for the season to start, marketing is in overdrive this week. Just today I received a mailer piece, have received two emails about different things including the rcaf priority lines at games and seen a couple of facebook posts from Ragin Cajun Athletics. I don't twitter so I don't know how many tweets went out but I would assume there were some. Also the team has done a great job on their facebook page this year with daily updates and hype videos.

One Last Time ....

That’s what it looked like back in the day when we started going to games. No paved parking. Congress was a 2 lane road and definitely no CD Blvd.

I grew up in the neighborhood behind Legends on Bertrand Dr. and remember when the earth movers arrived and started digging the hole that would become the Swamp! USL had to get rid of the cattle to make way for Cajun Field.

Yes they did. In the early 80s I think. When stadium capacity had to be 25K to remain 1A.

Extended it near the current grass levee.

They added seats on both sides when you needed to have a 30k seat stadium to remain 1A.

Yes they did. In the early 80s I think. When stadium capacity had to be 25K to remain 1A.

Pretty sure stadium size was 30k and they made it 31k
