Anyone brave the heat to go check out the scrimmage?

I was not but I talked to some one who was there. Leo hit a punt from the 10 and it landed at the other 20. If he does that consistently that’s a game changer.

Oh shizzie. Time to pump up his kick power in NCAA '14

If our special teams can be improved and consistent, it would be huge boost to the rest of the team, and make a difference in the win column for sure.

Our special teams were pretty good last year. Byrns was first team all SBC. Almendarez made his last 12 FG attempts. Garror was a beast at PR. KOR could have been better. We covered kicks well, as always.

I guess improvement is always possible, but let's not act like it was a weakness last year. It wasn't.

    We going undefeated this year.

I wouldn’t say a weakness either. Byrns was great coming in at #36 in the country. We lost 2 close games, South Ala & Troy, that each had 2 missed field goals. Sure, Almendares ended well, I would just like to see that carried on through this season. Consistency is key in special teams, imo.

When is the next scrimmage? The 18th or 19th?

From my understanding this is a regular practice, not necessarily a scrimmage. Email I received says it is for season ticket holders, not sure if it is for others. Of course it also says that help with the mobile ticket situation is available and non ticket holders can buy some there, even for individual games.
