    I charge with a 110 plug overnight.

    No extra investment.

    There are instances.

Electric vehicle useage does help with a person's advance planning skills.

    Forethought comes in handy.

We met them down in Corpus for a weekend, they were driving from Houston. They had to stop along the way to recharge. Took damn near an hour.

We’re currently on the last day of a family trip where we drove up to Yellowstone, through Utah and New Mexico. No way would crap like an hour recharge during the trip have worked…then having to route your drive based on there actually being charging stations along the way.
Your EV example brought this Mensa member to mind…

I'm not saying they're not the future, I'm not that ignorant nor that wise. Very interesting times.

I might also share that I own a Ford V-10 that gets 10 mpg if it makes someone happy.

There are instances where that vehicle makes sense.

If you drive electric you do, the companies get them and you couldn’t afford one if they didn’t.

Tax credits for my manufacturer had temporarily phased out the year my car was built.

Even though I bought it used, I get what you are saying. The car would have never made it to market without incentives.

I'm glad I have options. My pickup gets 12 MPG. My EV gets at least 10X that. And charges in 15 minutes on road trips. Anyone who spends an hour charging doesn't know how to road trip an EV.... Tesla Powerwalls don't cost $60k... So much misinformation in this thread from people who are really at the back end of the learning curve.

The traditional Energy industry is the tip of the spear.

What 4-5 passenger new car sells for $8900.00? I’d love to find it.

I found one in 2020, same car with 30,000 more miles, sold for almost double that ($16,900) during the pandemic.
