Football Attendance Rankings

I think the USM game is going to suprise some people, provided we are having a decent season at that point and our fans show up it should be good attendance. I have talked to several USM fans that can't wait to come to UL for this game. They can't wait to come and eat the good tailgate food that is almost nonexistent at their campus and for the music that is horrible at their place.

Since so many classes are now online, could they record the game and post as a zoom class and if any student watches it, it counts as attendance?

What about building a first class outdoor party spot in the east side parking lot? I know they have a pretty cool set up now but it’s still put up with portable tents and etc. I’m talking huge open air patio style with big ass fans, BBQ pits, rest rooms, TVs and DJ booth. The kids would eat that ____ up.

They have a friggin Swat team wanna be standing every 3 rows in the student section, how about back the F off a little…they are college students and that’s why you put them in their own section. I wouldn’t have lasted an entire game today without getting kicked out or arrested and that probably goes for a lot of us. If you are harassed constantly they eventually just go somewhere that they aren’t.

What are they looking for? Isn't alcohol legal now inside the stadium?

I will be in Cajun field in the same seats I’ve had for 40 plus years and multiple away games as well. Which is the terrifying part of our attendance woes. The old timers are keeping the lights on, and they can’t last forever.

Fingers crossed that the administration, all these new positions, have plans for student engagement and getting their butts in the seats. Or at least standing up. Their presence has been greatly missed the past few years.

They do have plans and had meetings with a group of students at the end of the spring semester to get feed back as to what they want. I know one kid was called this summer by the guy who’s job is fan engagement to get his opinion as to where the students should be placed in the construction year. Shows they are looking ahead and planning for the future.
