Most Olympic sports are budget busters. Why does NCAA require 14 sports anyway? Tough to achieve high quality for lower budget conferences like the Sun Belt. Maybe not popular in some quarters, but reduce to 11 minimum, (5 men's, 6 women's) convert the rest to club sports. Reallocate the savings across football, basketball, baseball, softball,
T & F, plus whatever else the university decides to continue.
College sports used to be fun and a way to escape. Not any more.
McMurphy reporting Oregon/Washington to Big10 done deal. Still evaluating Cal/Stanford.

So, we know what happens next. Arizona to the Big XII... with Arizona State and Utah to follow.
Washington State and Oregon State will be like Idaho looking for a place to play.
Assuming the ZONA schools and Utah leaves as well, the best thing they can do is go big and take the best of what is available all the way to the Mississippi. It's the only way for them to remain relevant and keep he illusion of a P5 conference.
