The start of the 2023 college football season is in less than 45 days. And pads will be popping during preseason practice in less than two weeks.

Talking season, which has become the lighthouse welcoming in a new football season, is gaining steam and Louisiana football will officially usher in the beginning of the 2023 campaign at Sun Belt Conference Media Days in New Orleans early next week.

Yes. Especially center need a huge up grade there. Unfortunately the guy playing last year out of necessity just wasn’t a college O lineman. Overall looking at the roster they recruited well at O line have good looking young talent just need to develop it.

I would also add to that. Peter LeBlanc will be that only starter at WR returning mentioned in the article. Jacob Bernard has significant playing time. The other 2 from the last 2 years with significant playing time transferred out. Gonna need some new faces to step up at that position to add some quality depth. Hopefully LeBlanc will have a year more like 2021 when he led the team in yards and catches.

To me the one that needs to make a big step up is kaleb Carter. But the newcomers to watch are no doubt Robert Williams and Charles Robertson.

IMHO the incoming freshman class at WR is better than what we currently have in the roster. They will just have to adjust to the speed of the game and learn the playbook.

Our RB room last year wasn’t the problem. Perry, Washington and Williams are really good. But we couldn’t block.

Chaz Ward.....237 lbs. And Kibodi is a Sr. with something to prove. Terrence and Dre'lyn are huge too. Only Perry and K. Williams are under 200 lbs. Some bulldozers. I am super confident in our RB's. Just get the OL moving off the ball, let the bulldozer boys do the rest.

Lance legrende will have a big year at WR imo. They started working him in late last year. He and Peter should be solid on the outsides. Bernard in the slot maybe.
