Perhaps that is a good reason to build an entertainment complex around Cajun Field for year round activities, festivals, etc. and things could regularly be incorporated into UL sporting events. This was proposed several years ago. Maybe time to resurrect it.

I doubt any DT folks will be worried about Cajun Field after being rebuffed by the performing arts center location.
I would hope no one would be this petty to act on that. We are all supposed to be on the same team.

Pure speculation on my part, and probably not even a thing. Executive director of DDA is a UL alum, but their board consists of LSU grads and business owners concerned only about growth DT.

But I do hope this is at least on Sam's radar as a potential obstacle/opportunity down the road.

I'm sure there's ways to where both parties can come together and make it work for everyone.

Best we can do this year is toss up some signage downtown reminding people of homecoming that night. I remember last year they advertised a showing of TSAB game at ACA with VIP tickets lol.

I selfishly hope UL pushes the start time back to 6, because I really do enjoy Gulf Brew.
Would they really be that petty about something just a few blocks away?

Also there is a BR home game that day too so at least they didn’t schedule around that

Probably not, I regret even typing that into existence lol. Just hope both parties are communicative with each other.

Just a thought, offer a free UL football ticket to anyone who purchases a ticket to the Gulf Brew event and make sure the game is after Gulf Brew ends. Gulf Brew is from 1-5, have the game at 6 PM with those free general admission tickets, maybe, just maybe some of those attendees to the Gulf Brew will show up at the UL football game because they are already downtown and already enjoying the day.

    Just a thought.

I know you are joking here, but when you purchase the ticket for Gulf Brew they can give you a scannable QR code to go with your GB ticket.

I think the email that went out from ACA said there would be a free shuttle to Cajun Field to bring fans to the game
