Basically, non-season ticket holders can buy a ticket to the UCF home opener, gambling that if Boise wins they get a free ticket to the next home game (vs FCS North Dakota) and continue to get free tickets for as long as the Broncos keep winning their home games. You must attend each game to be eligible for the free ticket to the next game on the schedule. Theoretically, you could get a season ticket for $125. I believe you must buy the first ticket by July 24. I wonder how much a regular season ticket costs (I assume this promotion isn't for the better seats in the stadium). Of course, if UCF spoils the party by winning, you lost your wager. So, there's that.

That is really smart!! What we really need to do is offer High School kids, a chance to become part of the university.

For example have a band day, or cheerleading day. Have sororities invite high school kids to hang out on a Saturday to help promote students join, and go to the university and come sit with them at a football game. That’s how you get kids involved in extracurricular activities and help promote student engagement when they attend the college. Students want to be part of something .

Texas A&M makes you take a class called Spirit 101 where you learn all the cheers for sporting events there freshmen year.

We should do the same! So many things we could do we are just not doing them!

Good or bad. At least they're trying. And not putting the promotion out one day in advance.

But will they be digital only or can you get printed?

Even if they put on a big billboard when the games are would help. A week in advance.

Buy a damn spot for electronic billboard by the Blackham Coliseum and have them promote when the game is each week in advance . Be smart just to keep it up all year around and use it for Basketball, Baseball, Softball whatever.

    Cool concept.

Promote, promote and promote. Then promote some more. When you get tired, have someone else pick it up and continue to promote while you rest.

You've got to give people a good experience, but you can't get new people there to give them an experience if you don't promote.

Has anything else been done differently to promote Louisiana football than the past couple of years? I'm not trying to be a downer. Just checking if I missed something.

I know a lot of us said that we would dread sitting here in July knowing that nothing has changed, and it may be more of the same in terms of attendance come September.

Hud had football players in Elementary school reading "Born to be a Ragin Cajun" and giving every child a free ticket. I seem to remember seeing alot of children at games when he did this.

I know it's a joke, but we lead the conference in community service. When we are out in the community, is promotion like giving away tickets a part of it anymore?

I really like the fact our athletes get out there and give back, usually with little or no fanfare.

Getting them out there as part of a coordinated marketing campaign is a different mission.

So now we would be happy scheduling fcs teams because they did it?
