I've said it before. Just like the offense was a work in progress last season, so will the defense be that this season.

I know it's only someone's opinion, but we tied ODU and Georgia State with 3 voted onto the team. At least we're ahead of ULM, who has 2.

Perception, like it or not, isn't that great.

Nine wins this season isn't a goal, it's a requirement now. Accolades will follow.

We lost our all conference players through graduation and NIL Transfer Portal. I believe we have lots of all conference defensive players. The season stacks out nicely for them to get additional chemistry and maturity.

These are guys I can see having good years and possibly making all conference at the end of the season. Hopefully there’s a few others that step into some roles.

I will say. Under billy and Dez we rotate a lot of players. So gaudy numbers are hard to pile up. But our defense has been near the top of the league for a few years now. That’s all I care about.
