Boomer, god love ya, that’s just not true my man. Those are things people say to keep themselves in control. Look around the country and tell me what comparable setup actually grows? Continues a stable projection of growth?
Separation is the only way we’ll ever survive in this collegiate athletic climate. We’ve been saying this for 15 years. And 15 years later, we have less than 2k RCAF members, no student members and a barely alive Alumni Association.
Man, I couldn't disagree more. Alumni Presidents are always alumni. But having alumni as Executive Directors for so many years is what got us into this rut in the first place. They did the same things year after year. "Well, that's the way we've always done it" permeated the organization.
I've met Amy a couple of times and can't say I know her very well. But she's come in and shaken a few things (and people) up. It's not a one day process and we'll need to give her some time. But I think she's off to a good start from what I've been able to gather.
When they hired someone from outside, my reaction was "FINALLY!!"
Every opportunity not pursued is an opportunity missed. Someone needs this branded on their ars. Don’t worry, someone working their way up (or down) the ladder will see it
