RCAF Separation

…….Here we go again…..having the RCAF with the present set up means more money because it SAVES MONEY (all of the cost of everything to run it)…..ALL of the money going to RCAF is theirs…..start adding the costs of an independent RCAF……computers, paper, office space, and all that can be added to do business……it is done this way to SAVE MONEY!

Boomer, god love ya, that’s just not true my man. Those are things people say to keep themselves in control. Look around the country and tell me what comparable setup actually grows? Continues a stable projection of growth?

Separation is the only way we’ll ever survive in this collegiate athletic climate. We’ve been saying this for 15 years. And 15 years later, we have less than 2k RCAF members, no student members and a barely alive Alumni Association.

Actually, the only difference is the AA just loves “at Lafayette” like a Jonesing meth junkie.

Both are controlled by Martin Hall. Until RCAF consistently raises 8 figures, MH will continue to micromanage since RCAF doesn’t have the clout to say “we’re a big boy now”.

RCAF NEEDS leaders more concerned about knocking on every darn door and quit worrying about being told no. We have the most marketable nickname in college sports and yet, crickets.

There is a market outside “The GOAT’s” signal range.

And 15 years later, we have, more or less, the SAME 2k RCAF members, no measurable new student members and a barely alive Alumni Association, who can’t drop “at Lafayette”, adding to the administration’s mixed messaging.

Man, I couldn't disagree more. Alumni Presidents are always alumni. But having alumni as Executive Directors for so many years is what got us into this rut in the first place. They did the same things year after year. "Well, that's the way we've always done it" permeated the organization.

I've met Amy a couple of times and can't say I know her very well. But she's come in and shaken a few things (and people) up. It's not a one day process and we'll need to give her some time. But I think she's off to a good start from what I've been able to gather.

When they hired someone from outside, my reaction was "FINALLY!!"

We presented a detailed plan to start the program. The answer? “We don’t have time and it’s not worth it.”

Every opportunity not pursued is an opportunity missed. Someone needs this branded on their ars. Don’t worry, someone working their way up (or down) the ladder will see it
