Totally forgot but today was the day 125 years ago the governor signed the paper work for SLI!

Also the one thing I learned was that UL was known for their Hay.

They used to sell Hay back in 1898.

Savoie has access to records that I will never see, including old receipts.

Up in the Louisiana Room and down on the first floor of Edith Dupre Library, I microfiched every Advertiser, Gazette, (town papers) Avatar, Atakapas, Vermilion (UL student papers) as well as every yearbook and handbook UL put out back then.

I've only come across one single picture of them loading hay, and never a single article. So I don't know how well they were "known" for selling hay.
