    Louisiana. edu

"If you are a freshman and don’t live within a 40-mile radius of the University, you will be required to live on campus for your first year. This will give you a better opportunity to meet other students and get involved with all UL Lafayette has to offer."

    FIFY…and Martin Hall.

It’s really a problem when freaking KPLC, the Lake Charles station, runs the archeology news story with University of Louisiana, and we fail with our own news release which the do-dos just cut and paste.

I survived 3 years in Roy Hall in 60s. No A/C. But when my oldest stayed in Stokes in 93 or so, I felt I had stayed in the Taj Mahal. Only time I saw more mold than in Stokes was post Katrina. Sympathy to all Stokes alumni. You may qualify for Agent Orange benefits.

    How do you know that?
25 miles for me. Lived in McCullough dorm my first year. Never lived with Momma during school.

Went look up the article to post link…someone must of complained to KPLC about the lack of “Lafayette”.

Oh yeah. 4 years in Stokes. Too many stories to tell. All sports stayed in Stokes. Great camaraderie developed not only on football team but in all sports because you interacted every day.

My kids could live closer to campus at my house than they do in their college rent house and apartment. Because Momma and Daddy’s house isn’t the place for a college student to live. Firm believer in going to college and not going to 13th grade.

. . . when your parents are putting you through college on a high school teachers salary, you live at home . . . or you load up on student debt which is not a very smart move . . . so please save the condescending attitude . . .
