My experience with Baseball tickets was the same, I could send more than one at a time, but I don't think I tried more than a game or 2 at a time at a time. I am really glad I set time aside to walk thru it with an 84 yr old relative. Got to give it to him he got really good after 3rd lesson. Of course with BSB we had a lot more opportunities than going straight to Football
It's hard to use if the "simple technology" doesn't work. I cannot add UL tickets to my wallet. I only have the issue with tickets through UL and their app. Eventbrite, Ticketmaster, airline tickets, etc. do not give me issues. I had at least two occasions during this past softball season where I couldn't log on to access my tickets and had to get them printed.
Yeah. I don’t care what the reasoning is for this change. Going green, saving money, blah blah. It’s stupid.
We sit on this site thinking up ways to drum up fans and the admin does the opposite.
You will not gain one new fan because of this change. But you can damn sure lose plenty. Especially the ones that were on the edge already.
I don’t know if they expect this to not turn anyone away or if they think the money saved will outweigh the loss. Either way it is a dumb decision.
And the people justifying the change, Saying if you can’t work this out then don’t go are also _____ing that we don’t have fans.
We have about 5,000 fans that will go no matter what and another 10,000 you need to keep happy. Then there’s another 10,000 you need to bring back and make happy.
This ticket thing is just another way to lose any of those 20,000 on any given game night.
Also. Raise your hand if you think every game entry will go smoothly and we won’t have and cluster Facks this season because of this.
All my tickets are loaded in the wallet. Crossing my fingers that devices work.
No one likes change. We learned that.....oh....when we were about five years old.
The reality is, we are behind the curve with mobile only ticketing. Our fan base is growing older (and some of us are already there.) Truth is, the next generation of Cajun fans use mobile ticketing for just about everything. We've had the mobile/paper option for a few years now. Now we're just taking the next step. Like everything, there will probably be a kink or two, there always is. But Dr. Maggard has read every email and all input from fans and they are taking steps for preventative maintenance.
While you may have to take an extra step or two to transfer tickets, if you have email and your recipient has email it's much easier than some of you are making it out to be.
Someone called this a "nothing burger." I tend to agree.
if they figure out the black hole of cell service that is cajun field for football games it will be a nothing burger. They should have figured it out before now anyway, unfortunately you arent going to get thousands and thousands of people to go somewhere without cell phone service for 4-6 hours these days.
