This is exactly the type of scenario that is the problem.

At the end of the day this will equal less butts in seats over saving pennies

Can't jump to conclusions here, because giving away tickets might be as easy as texting a code.

I've always said football should have a ticket redemption game. Well this would be even better.

How cool would it be to be able to text a friend your ticket for a game you cant make.

Then if something came up for him, he could forward it to one of his friends.

This would be equivalent to word of mouth marketing.

    The best form of marleting.

Corporate tickets could easily function this way.

And always will be. (Until A.I. conquers free will)

That is exactly how I give away many of my tickets. Take a snapshot on my phone and text it to a friend anyhow I have physical tickets.

Scan is of a bar code. What is the issue with even just allowing a ticket holder to print their own tickets?

I have been using A. I. for a while. I stand in front of Russo and say “A I have a couple extra tickets if you want them . . “ . ..

Yes sounds pretty cool for a ticket or 2 your not using or a game you can’t make.

Lets look at baseball. They will now only let one person to put their name on a loge suite and those tickets. However many times tickets are split ours are 5 ways. I am assuming the one person with their name on the seats will get all 12 X 32 games. There are 8 tickets that 4 other people hold. It is my understanding you can only send one ticket at a time. Now do 8 tickets X 32 games. Thats 256 text. That is no longer cool its a huge inconvenience.

What are the odds that donate that exact amount of money to rcaf or the alumni fund instead? And would that odds change if only mobile receipts will be provided for donations as well

The not yet given away ticket is a sunk cost. If it is hard to transfer there is a chance for another sale

In my experience, I've been able to send more than one ticket at a time. Not sure if you can do multiple games though.

Windows phones were my favorite, but since Microsoft wasn't happy with 4% of the market I'm on an Android.

If the ncaa truly wanted to be on the fore front of having member institutions enhancing technology, how about setting aside a few postseason slots for teams at schools doing this
