I have used the electronic option for my tickets in the past but I always printed out the tickets as I have had issues with them not scanning and also with paper tickets it makes giving them away much easier
I mentioned this the other day in another thread after I called and renewed my rcaf and ordered my tickets this year. I waited since I wanted to switch seats this year.
I often come alone to games and usually end up giving away my extra ticket to someone at the tailgate, this is going to be a pain in the ass to transfer now. Also I'm sure we all will have to still go to the ticket office to pick up our parking passes before the season begins which means that I have to come in a day early for the first game of the season every year.
I would much rather having paper tickets, and the reason they gave that athletics is still in the hole from covid was a pretty weak excuse. Also, it really can't be that much of an extra expense since only a portion of the season ticket owners order paper tickets, so the savings can't be much especially for the number of donors that they are ____ing off.
RCAF DO THE RIGHT THING AND LISTEN TO THE FANS AND DONORS AND GIVE PAPER TICKETS TO THE PEOPLE WHO REQUEST THEM.
Guess we need some players to get some NIL from some phone dealers
Maybe they found that too many paper tickets were being photo copied and used over and over again.... but system would only count same ticket # once, probably our attendance was quadruple what was reported
Such a long history of the school hiring third parties to get out of work.
This is par for the course.
With the ticket money they hand over on third party fees they could, employ a small army and print tickets with embedded chips.
But that's work.
After reading this thread, I feel the unstated concern may be this is a great idea but the university will find a way to USL this.
I know someone who always bought an extra ticket as a souvenir.
One season ticket lost.
He can chime in if he desires
