To me, LSU fans in general are just happy go lucky fans like most of us. However the LSU core base is made up of a win at all costs group of fans who will not acknowledge the fact that LSU University and the Louisiana State Legislature are joined at the hip in regard to the resources afforded to every other university in Louisiana. This has been the case since "The King Fish" Huey Long and his lunatic brother....nothing new...These fans walk through the graveyard whistling while rome burns...LSU just got a Hunter Biden deal with the NCAA and the fans are ecstatic about "Natty's" and all of these "Championship" achievements while never once acknowledging that their accomplishments came through fraudulent methods....The fact that the three year probation

proves my point....LSU fans should be more focused on their own part in this there is nothing honorable in this. AT. ALL........but that's just me...

In all honesty, we decided as a group NOT to accept the AYS invite. But after sleeping on it, I thought it would be worse having these clowns run around the internet saying the Ragin Review boys were cowards and ran from a fight. We talked about it and agreed that I’d go on.

The strategy was to give him enough rope to hang himself. And he did. He proved that everything we ever say about those people is exactly correct. Countering with in-depth facts and history would have been a waste of time. Staying on my toes and dodging incoming fire was top priority. Standing up to a bully is not about winning the fight. It’s about resistance. We did that.

For the people that want to critique my “performance”… I literally was packing for vacation when all of this happened. I was enjoying my summer with my family. I did not think about Ruffino, sports, TSAB or anything of the sort for 9 days. When we got home, I asked Blake what I should expect and how long to prepare for. He said, “no talking points. Plan for 20 minutes tops.”

Based on our twitter exchanges, it was going to be about TSAB fans and RR “trolling them.” Also expected some name stuff. I had a function that night with my wife and walked in the door 10 minutes before we got on.
You have no idea what it’s like walking into a situation where you have no idea what’s going to be said, what topics are coming your way, oh and, the guy asking you the questions is trying to make you look like a fool. The vast majority of people wouldn’t even accept that challenge, including the ones with negative ____ to say about me in this thread. After he started running out of steam, the last 12-15 min of that “debate” was 100% MAT.

This fanbase sometimes struggles with the different levels of engaging fans. Before RR, there was little to no presence in the social media spaces and ZERO push back when TSAB bullies. We have an army of defenders now. Like it or not, you have to have that in today’s world.

Was it a perfect showing? Of course not. Would I have liked to have remembered a few things? Sure.

It’s easy to sit and watch and think and remember and plan. It is not easy to do it in real time. Especially when you can’t finish a damn sentence before this guy starts yelling about something else..

When Ragin Review does a follow up, and they will, they’ll do what we always did: treat the guest with respect, ask real questions, listen and end with an intention to form some sort of alliance.

I had fun. I’ll always protect our brand and I’ll always stand up to morons that think wearing purple & gold makes them better than us.

Thank you for your honest response. I did try to listen to the podcast but could only take a few minutes of the other guy.

And LSU put up three years probation in two major sports moving them into first place in the most win's vacated list moving past Auburn and other SEC schools....IHMO college sports especially football and basketball and now baseball are dying due to the corruption and "BIG MONEY" involved in college sports nowday's....

Have you guys ever heard of “The Man in the Arena” speech by Teddy Roosevelt. It gives credit to the guy who has the courage to actually get in the fight. It also makes fun of the critics who do nothing but find faults of the guy actually participating in the game. MAT in this case was the guy in the arena. By his own admission he could have done a few things better. As Coach Robe said, they don’t build statues to critics.

Just a side note about the podcasters nonsense. Where in the universe does he get authority to designate 3 letters to branding. A few branding that may be 3 letters or two, or more come to mind. Kentucky and Kansas go with KU, or UK. Berkeley goes by 3 agreed but CAL standing for California.

I was entertained through the whole video. He proved his lack of facts which he tried to overcome with yelling and insults. MAT handled it well enough. The evil empire guy was proven a paper tiger.
