The silence leading up to FB season makes me think that everything is hinging on the finalization of CF reno financing. That's the benefit of the doubt I'm affording the admin. Maybe they have a bunch of final year of CF promos lined up, but can't let it loose until they get the nod that demo is happening 100% after this season. That's my hope at least.
I think they are well aware of the excitement they could drum up by going into the season promoting it as "last season at Cajun Field as we know it. (more details to be released during season)."
Print some shirts with this CF style artwork on the back:
Set up a selfie/picture spot in the parking lot facing CF to offer fans their last opportunity to take a picture with that CF backdrop and have t-shirts to sell right there.
Arkansas State, a long time rivalry,Troy became a rival under Hudspeth when he broke Blakeny home opener win streak. Gaja Southern a pretty good program, and South Alabama a growing football rival and longtime baseball and basketball rival. That lineup isn’t crappy considering everything.
They have been posting a lot of stuff on social media. The football account posted 4 hours ago, 21 hours ago, 1 day ago, and 2 days ago.
I’ve been getting emails from the athletic department regarding tickets being on sale
Pretty sure I saw a billboard recently
Pretty sure I saw something recently about the bands that they had lined up for the concert series under the oak
My post was in response to the babysitter
Social media is great, if you’re plugged in.
It’s amazing how many people out there are NOT into Twitter, FB, IG and such. Too much drama at times they don’t want.
New stadium build up card was played two years ago. Done blew that chance. If anything, that, followed up with a meh season hurt with casual fan.
Maggard, Des and company have a mountain to climb.
CBN didn’t seem interested in selling the program, but had the IT factor. So he didn’t lose too much ground in promoting the program.
Social media may be the worst way to spread a non viral message ever.
Word of mouth worked better than social media.
I'm subscribed to what you mention and Only one of the 4 you mentioned did I see. Two days, ago.
I haven't look in 3hours so perhaps two of the four will pass my way.
I've been seeing a decent amount on Twitter as well. However, I kind of agree with him as there doesn't seem to be any substance put out there. Such as position write ups, depth, updates on strength gains during the summer etc... Having just something written and distributed is better than seeing a football player in uniform and a post about season tickets.
