Still don't agree, sorry. Less than 20 years of consistent branding finally catching on, just don't think it's time to introduce a new logo. Especially one so similar to the iconic Louisiana Tech logo, which is the main differentiator of every other example you provided. Tech's is iconic.

A plain FDL on his pullover would have been cleaner. But yea, I’m a fan of sticking with only Ragin’ Cajuns, Louisiana, FDL, and in time the interlocking UL.

While there is a Louisiana Tech and there is a Louisiana State University, there is only ONE Louisiana . . . that one Louisiana should be branded by the L and silhouette of the State of Louisiana . . . We are the only LOUSIANA and when one looks at our brand, it should SCREAM LOUISIANA . . . what more to scream Louisiana than the silhouette of the state . . . Get’r DONE . . .
