They even hit #1 overall for a quarter. Last am station to do so.

ps memory fades. It might have been only for Dr Boogies time slot.
Ok so it was the AM. Didn't remember the Boss but I do remember when it was The Gator.

    Right after.

AM 960 and 105.1 were the official stations of the Ice Gators.

Can’t remember exactly what it was…KROF ran something every morning from the St Louis Cathedral around 6 AM when I was growing up. Recall?

    Yes, 1999

I sooooo wanted sports talk radio to succeed

No one was calling at first.

The reason I came up, with Turbine, was because I was working for Abbeville Broadcasting.

    Incognito.

    Kyle was calling then too.

Met him at a Dr. Chevalier meet and greet at Pete's. Dr Chevalier was nationally syndicated and on KVOL.

I called KVOL a lot. Even worked a week with Tony Peloquin. Just filling in.

My old program director Keith LeBlanc had moved to KVOL.

I listened to AM960 while at work from 1981-1994. Poor Huey Darby would always give me a hard time for all the times I would win stuff during the daily contests. Made many trips to the station to pick up my winnings.
