Thread: P5 Games at SBC Schools

Default P5 Games at SBC Schools

We talk about the difficulty of scheduling P5 or more prominent G5 teams at Cajun Field. Here is an SBC scheduling comparative. Note that Army is playing several SBC teams and ULM has them at home. Seems like a great Home and Home with them would be good for UL.

    App State - H - E. Carolina - A - North Carolina and Wyoming
    Marshall - H - VA Tech - A - NC State
    Coastal - H - None - A - UCLA and Army
    James Madison - H - UCONN - A - Virginia and Utah State
    GA Southern - H - UAB - A - Wisconsin and Ball State
    GA State - H - UCONN - A - LSU
    ODU - H - Wake Forest - A - VA Tech
    USA - H - Central Michigan - A - Tulane and OK State
    Troy - H - W. KY - A - K State and Army
    Louisiana - H - Buffalo - A - Minnesota and UAB
    S. Miss - H - Tulane - A - Florida State and Miss State
    Ark State - H - Memphis - A - Oklahoma and UMASS
    ULM - H - Army - A - Texas A&M and Ole Miss
    Texas State - H - Nevada - A - Baylor and UTSA

Although many say playing army or navy and preparing for the option often takes more than a week and sets prep for other games back.
Even bama struggled with the citadel in a year when they were one of their best teams. It was tied 10 to 10 at half

So Marshall has the only P5 game at home amongst the SBC.

It's going to take a half decade for the Sunbelt as a conference to overcome it's historical limitations.

It will take individual teams getting creative before the P5 give the idea quick and easy consideration.

It will take SOS neutrality or a boost to tip the decision scales.

Yah that’s as close as we will get for a long time, our admin has stated repeatedly that they are not interested in any 2 for 1s whatsoever

Can't be. Must be more than one as thread title says "gameS" plural
