  1. UL Softball Analyzing what Louisiana softball gained from transfer portal this offseason

Louisiana softball capped off the latest transfer portal window last week with a bang, landing commitments from a duo from Florida.

Pitcher Lexie Delbrey and utility player Sam Roe both revealed their intention of transferring to the Ragin' Cajuns, bringing the total number of transfers coach Gerry Glasco and his staff are adding to four, with three of those being from Power 5 teams.

My count is five transfers; (1)Denali Loeckner, (2)Brooke Ellestad, (3)Sam Roe, (4)Lexie Delbrey, AND (5)Sam Ryan. Denali, Lexie and Sam Ryan are PITCHERS. They will join, Sam Landry, and Chloe Riassetto. Although we lost 5 pitchers, seniors; Karly Heath, Kandra Lamb and Meghan Schorman, plus transfers out; Tyler Oubre and Kyleigh Pitzer. We will have five pitchers. In 2023, we had one red shirt pitcher and one pitcher that pitched only 6 innings, so in essence, we had five pitchers, not seven. We will have five again. This will be manageable. Jut will still have his hands full, but not as demanding trying to give everyone a chance with his time.

. . . Jut and the 5 have this covered . . . if we can keep dugout gawkers away, they should be in great shape . . . go Ragin Cajuns . . .
