Two NCAA and one NIT in 13 seasons. That’s slightly better 23% in post season. So yeah a fluke when you consider middle of the pack most seasons, and semifinals in the tournament just twice, maybe three in the NIT season. Can’t recall for sure.

His history while at UL says he should have been gone. Some folks will also say you are only as good as your last season. He did get to the dance, so yeah he deserves a little credit.

Related somewhat but it’s crazy to me that western Kentucky hasn’t made it to the dance since 2013. We have made it twice since then. What’s also a head scratcher is why western didn’t want to continue the series once they moved on to cusa. As big as our rivalry was in basketball they were just like nah we’re good enjoy the “scum belt”

It’s definitely a head scratcher. They took an elitist approach and now have egg on their face.

Thats the thing I don’t get about basketball. Every year we hear how hard it is to schedule D1 games. Seems like everyone is just cutting off their nose to spite their face.

We wanted to continue the series. They chose otherwise. They’re also on their 3rd head coach since then.

WKU happens to exist in the middle of a basketball hotbed. There’s a ton of quality mid major teams a short bus ride away from them. I wish they would have continued the series, but I see why they wouldn’t want to spend the extra travel time and money for flights to keep the series going.

There is a gulf of illogic between "series" and not playing at all.

I’m just sitting back and waiting until the MAC games are played. Yes, games will be against D-1 teams, but NET wise not a thing will change. The faux outrage will abound.

All I want to see if D-1 games. We aren’t getting at larges. We are most likely getting bounced first round regardless of where we get seeded every 5 years. At least get Milligan College off the schedule in the meantime.

We were conference champions and finished #37 in the RPI. If that isn’t good enough for a contract extension, what is?

Contract extension does not equal long term deal being discussed. What has he done to deserve a long term deal? Like others have said, he is only worth a damn in contract years. Dude should have been gone YEARS ago.
