Did he get a response? I stepped out the car right as he was saying it?

Maggard said he feels that every team that makes it to the NCAA post season is competing for a national championship.

That's the right answer. Have to think it was just a set-up question/remark by Schultz.

Good answer. Not a fan of declarations like that. It’s not common, but Fresno State baseball and softball, Covid Carolina baseball, Villanova basketball (although not really a “mid major”.) It can happen. Odds are really against the schools with budgets a fraction of say TSAB, but it can happen.

Maybe it was a set up by Dave like RedTails said.

Except football. That’s not going to happen in the 12 team playoff either. 5 G5 conference competing for one spot to get into post season playoff. The likelihood that a second G5 team gets in is nearly zero.

"Not going to happen" is how it's been from BCS era through 4 team CFB playoff era. That has changed to "unlikely to happen" which is a much better prospect for us.

You never get 100 percent renewals. People have changes in their lives such as kids activities increasing, new jobs or relocations. Hope is you get 90 percent renewals and attract new customers.

Reality is he's not wrong, at this time. Softball should hopefully be on that cusp. Get to that Final 8 in OKC, and you're competing for one. Hopefully Deggs gets baseball back there.

Football...LSU goes into every season (save probably 2021 after 2020 bit them in the ass) to compete to be in the playoff for a shot. We've got ALOT of work before we can be at that expectation.

Sounds like Maggard had a good response.
