You basically are auditioning for all 30 teams and their G league affiliates when you participate in summer league. Another former Cajun doing well professionally is Jonathan Stove. It took him a couple of years to garner an overseas opportunity. However he recently garnered a spot for a team in Germany. I believe Germany has the highest level of play in Europe.
……Man, Franks dad was one hell of a LBer!

I think any domestic guy is hoping to play in the NBA. This could be his stepping stone.

Pretty cool. Not sure why more don't take that route.... great experience, don't the European teams take care of most of your expenses. Also I notices one of his previous teams was st johns, new Brunswick, canada. Sounds like a cool place, maybe we could explore their proximity to the original Cajun connection and do some kind of exhibition exchange with them

Frank and Stove were two of my favorite players with Louisiana MBB during my time at UL. Great men. With Frank on the Pelicans' Summer League roster, it gives me a reason to tune-in to the action. Congrats to him! I'm excited to watch him play.

Germany does have one of the highest levels of play in Europe and you could make a case that top-to-bottom it is more well-rounded and competitive compared to other countries' domestic leagues, top-to-bottom. I wouldn't say it's the highest level, however. The top division in France just produced 2 NBA lottery picks (Victor Wembanyama #1 - Spurs & Bilal Coulibaly #7 - Pacers).
Luka Doncic came from Spain's top division with Real Madrid (#3 pick overall). FC Barcelona in Spain produced the #31 pick this past NBA draft (James Nnaji - Pistons).

The EuroLeague (basketball equivalent to the Champions League for you soccer fans) is a 34 game regular season/playoff (aside from domestic league-play) to determine "the best team in Europe" and happens yearly. Its past 4 champions were Real Madrid (Spain), Anadolu Efes (Turkey), Anadolu Efes (Turkey), and CSKA Moscow (Russia).

The Top 8 leagues in Europe are Spain, Turkey, Italy, Germany, France, Greece, Serbia, and Israel.

This isn't to diminish Stove's signing... having Cajun alums playing in any of the top-leagues of the countries listed above is a huge deal.

If you're a basketball fan, I encourage you to watch some of those Euro League games, they're fun to watch.

I am not sure, but last I know, is that Bryce Washington was playing in the Israeli Premier League and averaging about 10 points and 6 boards.

And Jakeenan Gant is playing in Canada, in their top league.

Bartley had a pretty good debut. In 15 minutes he scored 6 points on 2-5 shooting 2-4 from 3 point land. 5 rebounds, 3 steals, 3 assists and 3 turnovers.

It was not great. But considering it was his first appearance vs nba caliber talent it was pretty good.

That's comes out to 16 points in 40 minutes of play.

A 16 point contribution can win a lot of games for a team.

Damn I wanted to watch this but didn’t realize it was on so early. I know that Frank will make the most of his opportunity.

By the time I realized games were on the hornets and spurs were at the half. That 7’3 “phenom” looked lost out there. He’s definitely not used to the speed of the American game.
