And we won the turnover battle 3 to 1.

    146 yards rushing vs 61.
    303 yards passing vs 114.
They went 6-6 in the red zone.

Rice wanted it way more than us, and viewing both sidelines from the stands, that was very obvious.
Yes they did. No argument here.

    Hate is something other posters have here . . . I love my university, it’s players and it’s coaches . . .

The reason we were able to bring in USM and Marshall now is because we did the right thing back then and quit chasing markets.

The AAC is going to learn this lesson in the coming years while we will continue building. There will come a point in time where we will be cherry picking the AAC. I want SMU, Memphis, Tulane and ECU.
UTSA brings a passionate fan base, and reasonably large tv market. Certainly in line with most of the SBC teams. UAB also because they escaped Bama destruction. Charlotte nothing, Rice nothing, North Texas maybe, Florida Atlantic becoming more successful with both football and basketball.

The SBC absolutely won this round compared with AAC& DOA CUSA. Weakest add is ODU.

    My response:

"Oh, you mean like Tuscaloosa or Clemson?"

From my limited understanding, TV drives conference revenues. If a conference is looking at anything except those numbers, they would seem to be making a mistake.
I’m not sure about your point. Certainly schools bring eyes to their conference, some in mega markets LA, and some in Tuscaloosa, Oxford. Does Tulane get more metro NOLA tv eyes than UL Acadiana eyes. I’d bet it’s close.

At one time the Cajuns had better TV ratings in New Orleans than Tulane did. That of course was not the case in 2022, a special year for the Wave

Interestingly, under the AAC large market only conference configuration, there are a lot of P5 schools that are in small markets that wouldn't otherwise be considered today.
