What new sport would you like to see

I say we get Roarman to coach a pickle ball team.

Our culture is football first. Not futbol.

It’s one of my favorite sports. My passion for it can’t overcome the fact it would be an udder cash drain, going nowhere program. We have a few of those already, don't need another burden on the budget. And the “talent” issue is the same as the girls.

Think about it…there’s no men’s programs in Louisiana is true. Travel costs would be astronomical.

Just because we have a good local high school team or two in the area, it doesn’t translate over to D1 soccer.

……Hold on guys, my visiting sister in law has the answer….A Competitive Shooting Team….closest one is Ole Miss…..with all the water fowl and wildlife hunting in the Cajun area, it would be a natural….. a true add to the culture….she is volunteering her grandson as the first scholarship recipient…..we are already lining up NIL Sponsers!

If you start soccer, you must also start women's beach volleyball and women's golf because of Title IX. Where is all of this money coming from to create these programs? The travel alone right now would kill these programs.

Kind of ironic that starting a new program requires a lot of money for travel but the well established p5 programs (with all the $) in the big money sports often travel the least

That really is the core issue is a new Soccer startup.

Different sport but after the Ice GATORS marketing success NO ONE can say "Louisiana won't."

Part of the Ice Gator marketing early on was "no place else in Louisiana."

It will take marketing and sustained marketing. Something the Ice Gators lost and Louisiana Athletics has never shown.

They changed leagues to what was viewed as an inferior league.

Every town in Louisiana jumped on the bandwagon. This spliced the travel fans.

It all comes down to marketing and I don't mean social media
