Thread: What new sport would you like to see

  1. Default What new sport would you like to see

Mine would be Beach VB first, men's soccer second and women's golf third.

All 3. But someone will have to pony up the big $$$.

I think men’s soccer is the one that sticks out the most. Soccer interest is rising in the country. I think enough people in the area might actually be interested in some UL soccer.

Men’s Soccer! Wish there was a way we can use Cajun Field for Minor League Soccer team. Also I think there is a woman’s football team we need to do that as well.

Lots of jumbled thoughts on this

Mens Soccer has the most long term potential for front porch sharing.

Cajun Field is to small, NOW would be the time to widen the deck as part of the stadium rebuild.. Would require removing the first row, all the way around.

Front row football fans would be a little farther from the field. Wouldn't affect anyone else.

W Golf would be the cheapest and most expensive sport to start. Venue ready, no revenue.

Beach VB could generate, money with minimal cost of facility prep.

Women's golf makes the most sense economically. Also, I think Louisiana is the only SBC school that doesn't have a women's golf team.

    Pickleball

"The big" girls already pushed the ULMs of the world out of beach volleyball. Not sure how we could move up if we started it now. ULM were perennial leaders in that sport and with a snap of fingers and burning of their equipment she'd they are basically never heard from again and the p5 took over. Would be good to have to house extra players that could count as schol. For beach yet walk-on for inside gym VB. But doubt it moves the needle much even for in gym success

Would rather see the little money we do have, to go to the existing sports that already exist, now.

That is too practical . . . And you know you want to vote for beach volleyball . . .
