Get Louisiana Right: Learfield and SideArm Sports can't

…….so now the name enemies are we! What a crazy struggle….met with a former Nevada coach last Summer and we talked about the name situation at Nevada Reno and the Lafayette situation…..he mentioned their struggle but it seems they have lost the Reno! We MUST keep fighting!

I’m pretty sure both TxSt and Nevada got their names the way they wanted by legally changing them as we did in 84? But Texas and Nevada are both more advanced than Louisiana by light years.

Definitely a database sorting limitation.

Learfield is trying to put everyone in alphabetical order according to the biggest part of their brand name.

If Learfield's SideArmSports put "University of" first then all of all the University of schools will be at the very end of their client listing (1500)

So what they're trying to do is put everything in alphabetical order.

Solution: Louisiana needs to just submit "Louisiana" it has the Ragin' Cajuns logo right next to the name. It would be so clear and uncluttered.

There is no requirement by Learfield to include uniniversity.

You don't have to have "University of" there, especially when it's not the brand for Athletics.

I'd have to look again but none of the Cal Poly schools put University, and so they have a bunch of Cal Poly plus location because that's their branding.

They allow for shortened nicknames, LSU Eunice for example.

It can be fixed.

That’s the point, it shouldn’t have to be fixed. Should be right the first time. But if you have an intern with mixed indoctrination, this is what we get.
