We had a much better record and RPI. There’s no reason why we didn’t host. Little Willy trued it justify it with quadrant wins and all that, but better record, better RPI nonetheless.

They tried to play the big boy game...as a little runt. That's a big no-no in the eyes of the NCAA...and spectacularly idiotic by Alleva to allow Wade to do so thinking it would be OK...cause you know...LSU. Outside of football and baseball that ____ doesn't carry any water. Day by day, I'm loving Joe Alleva more and more for being spectacularly bad for LSU sports as a whole and hope he stays employed permanently. Big players don't just up and decide to play at a school without good reason. In this case, that reason was cold hard cash. Anyone with a brain can see that. I guess that's why the Tiger fans are protesting. Let them eat cake.

Looks like the FBI isn't just looking at basketball. There's another investigation going on involving entrance exams to get students into prestigious universities as athletes regardless of their ability. Schools named in the article are Georgetown, Stanford, UCLA, San Diego, USC, Texas, Wake Forest, and Yale. A total of 44 people, some of them college coaches, charged so far in this investigation.

Since the NCAA started keeping records of infractions back in the mid 50's mens basketball has racked up 318 major infractions. Football has managed 302. The next closest sport after that is women's basketball with 60.

I think NCAA men's basketball is going to get hammered over the next couple of years.
