Lol. The NCAA did not so much as slap UNC on the wrist for enrolling athletes in bogus degree programs that delivered degrees with no testing in any class. They have done this across most sports for 20 years and continue to do so. According to the NCAA, it is ok to do this since the courses are open to all students. The NCAA ignored the fact that virtually no non-athletes actually took any of these courses. For Duke or Kansas to go down, the NCAA would have to be presented with damning evidence live on prime time national tv that Duke and Kansas were murdering marginal players to free up scholarships, or something equally egregious.

Kansas didn’t play their incoming one and done when his name was associated to this mess. Part of the reason why they’re not in the top flight this year. Forgot his name, but one thing for sure, he’s done.

Alice Shoe deserves everything coming their way for hiring that puddin’ head AD.

Sylvio DeSousa. They've actually been hurt more by losing Azubuike and Vick. They were really tough when those two were playing.

The NCAA found that they violated no NCAA rules. Had they done so, there would have been very direct punishment to be shown as a deterrent.

There is a missed point. LSU isn't a blue blood program, but the SEC kingpin Kentucky is. Meanwhile on Tigerploppings a whole lot of chest thumping on behalf of their coach.

Their ignorance is bliss, thinking this is the only instance WW is on tape. There's a reason the Feds let Wade and Miller run seemingly free...both were building programs...laying the groundwork for the investigation. In 2-3 years, those two will either be cast off to pro ball somewhere or selling insurance or real estate.

I’d agree but they are called as witnesses not as the subject. Now maybe if they screw up on the stand then an investigation could take place

It is very unusual for anything good to come from being a witness appearing because you are subject to a subpinny.

Wade had some one pay Smart, Reid, and Waters all six figures each. Waters receiving the lesser of the three. Lil Willy better enjoy this year because the FEDS WATCHING

This is onion peeling, one layer at a time. This has so many implications it's crazy...but will they go that deep.

Remember, the Feds only showed round one, took a few scalps. Round two is where we are.

Do you have evidence of this accusation. You seem to have a lot of details if you know who got paid the least. Now I don't doubt what you say is possible, if not likely. Proof is another thing however. Regarding Smart, recall that he and our recruit (Kobe Julien) played many times in their HS years as they were Baton Rouge area rivals. Note that while both usually put up impressive numbers in those contests, Kobe's team of Madison Prep beat Smart's team of Scotlandville much more often than not. I thought of this on Saturday when Smart was the key to LSU's victory over Tennessee.

Smart was POY or Mr Basketball or whatever the best player is his last three years. He was probably carrying the team more often than not.

Smart was a great get for LSU. He can take it to the basket as well as any freshman. His drives kept LSU in the game against Tennessee allowing them to pull it out on OT. If he is doing that well in the SEC, it makes me wonder how Julien will do once he suits for up in November.
