It'll be interesting to see what the rest of the wiretaps recorded. He'll have to answer questions under oath. Could get interesting for little Willie.

The NCAA blue bloods can get away with this. Kentucky, Duke, UNC, Kansas, UCLA, etc. The Johnny-come-lately's usually get the hammer quick.

Remember he never did business with the agent in question on the tape. Now he will have to answer if he ever DISCUSSED doing business with the guy under oAth. Wonder if this affects their team as they continue challenging for the SEC regular season title. Probably not as they will keep this distraction away from them. As far as our coaches are concerned, they are not surprised at today’s developments but are not necessarily happy about it. Reason is this whole episode puts a blemish on the sport they make their living on.

The problem is that this has become the landscape of college basketball. With the politics that have evolved with AAU and the likes, we are seeing a "brothel" within the sport that has poisoned the dignity which still remains. The whole Louisville incident was a small sample size of what goes on in the sport today. IMO, they should cut the whole "one and done" and go back to the three year requirement if you end up playing college basketball. It wouldn't fully solve the problem, but you won't have the Nike's and Under Armour's breathing down some freshman's neck waiting for a deal to be made before the NBA draft would occur.

As far as Wade, I'm not saying that he did anything one way or another. But I find it odd that a coach, whose team went 2-16 in the SEC two years ago before taking over, can magically provide a top ten recruiting class over blue bloods in only his second year at the helm. This is very similar to what happened at Ole Miss when Hugh Freeze was there. They went from a 6-6 record to a top 5 recruiting class. Basketball at LSU is what Ole Miss is in football. They're not a blue blood. It's just odd to say the least.

Something is going on and they gave the man a little subpinny to talk to him about it.

What's more important is the fact that this isn't the NCAA. It's the FBI, which means he will have to be 100% truthful when being put on the stand.

This story first broke in late September of 2017. That is almost 18 months ago. Reason you have not heard more about it is the FBI has encouraged the NCAA to "stand down" until they wrap their part up. I have learned Wade won't testify until April 22. Season will be over by then so I doubt this is a distraction to them as they will keep their players focused on the prize of tournament play. One other interesting thing I did learn about what happened after our NIT game with LSU last March. Once the late game incident was publicized, several Atlantic 10 coaches (Wade came from VCU which is an Atlantic 10 member) informed some of our guys quietly that they wished Coach Marlin would have decked Coach Wade. Take that for what you will.

The last part doesn’t surprise me. And I’ll be honest with you. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a whistleblower (coach or player) who had it out for Wade due to his “antics.” I had a feeling it would’ve been a matter of time before his mouth got him in trouble. You may get away with this against G5 teams, but when you start going toe to toe with Kentucky, UCLA, Duke, North Carolina, Syracuse, etc.; your actions will carry a lot more weight.

I'm surprised the FBI has time for such trivial pursuits. After all, aren't they still looking into the Russians and Trump!!!
