Wade will never coach there. He will either get LSU deep into the NCAA tournament quickly or get fired for landing the Tigers program on probation. I have no evidence he is cutting corners but plenty of basketball people believe he gets perilously close to the line. As long as he does not step over it or allow evidence to surface he has, Tigers basketball will be OK.

Forecast should never be made with such certainty.

LSU has been paying basketball players since the 70s. Everyone knows it. It’s just a matter of how much Wade ____es off the NCAA.

You are right. Never is too strong a word as forever is a very long time. I should have said I believe it is highly unlikely that Will Wade will ever coach at McNeese. Personally, I don't fault him here. I don't know if McNeese realizes how poor it makes their program look to have a coach from another state school be a guest at a fund raiser for their program. I guess they figured the dollars they may have raised are worth any embarrassment. His opening line probably got a chuckle from the crowd. After all, any good speaker plays to his audience. I just know we likely will have a tougher time with them when we play in Lake Charles this year than last time we went. They are bringing in several transfers which will probably make them much improved.

I don't know this for a fact but I have heard it so often I suspect there may be something to it. If so, they must be very good at covering up their tracks. I did hear that many coaches in the conference Wade was at before LSU called up Coach Marlin to congratulate him for standing up to Wade. Guess they did not think much of him either. Wade does not care. He is the type of guy that realizes it is good to be hated in collegiate sports. Shows you are having some success.

Wade is a douche bag on a power trip. He won at VCU on the heels of Shaka Smart, and has no real idea what it means to build a program. His career will be over before age 40. Which is a good thing for all people..

With his arrogance at such a young age, it may be over before then.

I agree that the game this year will be tougher than the last game. New coach, JC signees and other transfers. Not sure how many of the transfers are eligible to play this year. Roydell Brown is a JC transfer. Saw a highlight film of him that shows him making quite a few 3's. Of course that's what highlight films are for. He still shows his athleticism. I believe they will be tough. Hope that's the case but I hope we are tough enough to come out on top.

Brown made 16 threes in 27 games at the JUCO level last year so probably half of those ended up in the highlight real. He was ranked as the #82 JUCO player in the same ranking that had Jeremy Hayes #67. It's too bad he couldn't be convinced to stay and redshirt last year as he has great athleticism. Brown reminded me a lot of Dwayne Mitchell who had 2 very successful seasons here with no real outside shooting, he developed it a little better for his last year.

As for Wade, even though I have an extreme distaste for the little _____, I don't see how he isn't going to put a winning team on the floor with the talent he has coming in. I agree with Mike in that he either gets canned for recruiting violations or uses LSU as a stepping stone to get to a school where basketball is the #1 sport. I don't see him getting fired over a W-L record.

I'd love to see he and Calipari go at it this year like he did with Marlin. All while the tigers are getting drilled by 30 at home.
