Point being that. No major conference has affiliate members in baseball or softball, and no conference that lets you in for football or hoops will let you play baseball and softball somewhere else if they offer it.

I not saying you are wrong but "never been done" has to be one of the poorest excuses for not enhancing a conference there is.

We really don’t care what Wade is allowed to do. The question was if our RPI average didn’t meet SEC standards. Clearly that’s not a problem as LSU plays lots of teams that don’t approach our RPI. Maybe it’s for a home and home. Even that doesn’t matter because they’re never coming to Lafayette.

"Never" is a long time, but l agree it will not likely happen in our lifetime. Maybe some of the younger crowd may some day witness it. Maybe, but still doubtful...

Can I suggest that we take a "I don't give a rat's___ if we ever play a&m@br again" approach? I really don't care... they are simply not that important to me. All this talk about moving up in conferences... Why don't we target the conference we want to move to and start scheduling those folks exclusively for our money games and series. For example we have Texas coming here next year in Baseball... We went there this year. Let's try to keep that series going... Then work them on football and basketball with a 3 for 1 in basketball and as many football games over the next few years as they will schedule.. Add Oklahoma and Baylor and TCU and the others to that same mix. Stop playing Bama and Ms State etc ect... Forget friggin a&m@br.... Become a NAME in Big 12 country

While I 100% agree with what you are saying, we should try to schedule P5s who don’t score 40+ points a game. We don’t have the defense to actually win those type of games. We definitely aren’t gonna go toe to toe with a TCU or Oklahoma when it comes to scoring offense.

Missouri, Kentucky, Baylor, K State, most of the ACC and the bottom of the Big 10 are all games that we should be able to compete and pull off some upsets.
