Following the success of the Sugarcane Showdown last spring, the Louisiana men's tennis team is heading back to the Youngsville Sports Complex this fall. The facility will host the Cajuns from September 15-17 with three visiting teams to be announced at a later date, competing in a hidden dual format.

"It will be our first official weekend to the 2023-24 season," said head coach Luc Godin. "We're excited to play it close to home in front of our supporters at the beautiful Youngsville Sports Complex. We will have three visiting teams and the hidden dual format will provide lots of tennis for the fans!"

Last season the Cajuns went to Youngsville and earned their first win over South Alabama since 2015. They knocked off the Jags in a thrilling 4-3 victory behind wins from Vasil Dimitrov, Calin Postea, and William Ribero in singles action. The Cajuns went on to win 12 matches, claim the 3-seed in the Sun Belt Conference playoffs, and finish the season ranked 74 in the country.

Last week they locked in their spot in the ITA Indoor National Championships this January for the second straight season. They'll open the event at Georgia on January 28.
