If they really wanted better competition and more viewers why not start the season later so the northern teams have a shot and end the season actually during school. And maybe throw in some neutral site region and SR rounds. (And bowls not in one conferences backyard while we are at it) Imagine if Duke played every ncaa March madness tournament game at home during their hey day
Woo-hoo 2 million!!!!

You don’t just have a starting pitcher, there is a bullpen. Closers pitch more than once In a weekend but not twice in the same day. Why you think teams don’t schedule double headers in advance and try to avoid them at all costs? Your ideas have become so ridiculous it’s like you’re trolling at this point. Let’s schedule a scenario that we try to avoid all season to determine the national championship, great idea. There is a reason coaches will have their teams sit around for hours waiting to play if they think the weather will pass.
My argument is maybe you should try to find something to do on the Fourth of July instead of sitting in front the tv wishing something was on it. Your suggestion of a double header for the national championship is silly. Maybe you should concentrate on fixing the football championship so we don’t have to watch 65-7 NC beatdowns. Don’t you find it odd that all the other national championships are on Monday nights? It’s as if they don’t want to compete with anything so they pick a night that most people don’t have anything else to do
The championship was between lsu and wake forest, just like in CFP it was between Georgia and Ohio state. You either follow it all or don’t, trying to guarantee the best game/games comes at the very end is impossible and rarely happens. Want to watch the best games? Watch the postseason in its entirety, of any sport.
